Belle Vue have completed their team with the signing of Michael Palm Toft in a loan deal from Premier League club Scunthorpe.

The 23-year-old Danish rider will be stepping up to the top flight for the first time after spells with the Scorpions and Plymouth last year.

Belle Vue director of operations Chris Morton said: "Michael is an enthusiastic, experienced rider who has proved he's got good racing ability and a great head on his shoulders.

"With the current set-up of the league it's a good opportunity for him to break into the top flight.

"It's a tough job for him to go straight into the main body of the team, especially in his first year of Elite League racing, but we believe, as he does, that he is capable of filling the role."
