Scunthorpe skipper Ashley Birks has spoken of his pride in lifting the Premier League Championship trophy earlier this week.
Birks took over the Scorpions' captaincy after David Howe was injured earlier in the season, and the club overcame Somerset by a single point in a dramatic play-off final.
Birks said: "It was fantastic to hold that trophy aloft.
"I only started riding speedway around three years ago and soon became a Scunthorpe asset.
"To be involved in championship-winning sides in the National League last year and then the Premier League this year, it's been just brilliant, you can't ask for any better than that."
