Joonas Kylmakorpi will not be racing in Britain in 2013 after suffering through an injury-plagued season.
The Finnish racer won the World Longtrack championship for the third year in succession but his form elsewhere was not as good as he struggled with the after-effects of an early season crash at King's Lynn.
Eastbourne boss Trevor Geer revealed Kylmakorpi had told him he would not be continuing a relationship with the team that started in 2001 but wanted to give the Eagles plenty of chance to find a replacement.
Geer said: "Joonas gave us plenty of notice of his plans for next year and that means we are able to carefully consider the options available to us.
"He is one of the most spectacular riders in speedway and we will miss him setting Arlington alight with his distinctive style. We wish him the very best in 2013 and hope he can repeat his success in the Longtrack series."
