Belle Vue Aces have completed their 2012 line-up with Australian Travis McGowan signing up.
McGowan will be in the main body and is joined by Danish duo Ulrich Ostergaard and Claus Vissing who will take on doubling-up roles.
McGowan, 31, spent last season with Coventry Bees and also doubled up with Somerset Rebels.
Team boss Jim Lynch said: "I had room left for a four-point man to complete the side and stay under the 41-point limit.
"I made an extensive search of all the available riders and decided McGowan was the man.
"He rode for me at Reading and did well so I know what he can do. He is a snip signing on a four-point average because he can increase that by at least a full point.
"Travis didn't have the best of years last season but he has hardly been off the phone asking for a chance and I think he is worth it. He knows he can do us a good job.
"Now it's up to him but it's not too long since he was in the running for the Australian World Cup squad.
"He feels he's got a future as an Elite League rider and he's a brave man for returning to full-time racing in the top division. He was desperate to join us."
