Wolverhampton Wolves have confirmed that American Ricky Wells has agreed to stay with the club for next season.
Wells arrives on loan from Coventry Bees and will also double-up in the Premier League - likely with Sheffield Tigers.
Club owner Chris Van Straaten said: "We're delighted to have Ricky on board once again and we feel he made great strides last season.
"He comes back to us on a relatively low average but after working with him for a season we feel there is more to come.
"He will ride in the Premier League too and I expect some news on which club later this week.
"In the right environment he has shown what a good rider he can be and we feel he can continue his improvement with us at Wolverhampton.
"When we get to January we will also be taking a close look at who we will bring in to share the double-up position with Ricky."
Wolves have also confirmed that Swedish youngster Pontus Aspgren has joined their ranks for 2012.
Van Straaten said: "Pontus was very disappointed when he was forced to withdraw from the Banks's Olympique through injury because I know how much he was looking forward to coming over here and showing us what he can do.
"But he is highly recommended and for that reason we decided to continue talks about the 2012 season and we are now delighted to have him on board and give him his chance in British Speedway.
"He is bursting with enthusiasm and is desperate to do well for Wolverhampton Speedway."
