Robertson: Faces tricky task against Trump
Judd Trump is the 6/4 favourite with Sky Bet to win The Masters as he prepares to face Neil Robertson in the first semi-final on Saturday afternoon.
John Higgins and Shaun Murphy match-up in the second of the semi-finals and you can also bet on all the possible final match-ups. A Trump v Higgins final is proving popular with punters and is 6/4, while a Robertson v Higgins final is available at 16/5.
Sky Bet Odds
Jud Trump - 8/15, Neil Robertson - 6/4 Bet now
The money has come for Trump and he has been backed into 8/15 to win his semi-final after it was revealed his opponent, Robertson, had damaged his tip in beating Mark Williams in the quarter-final and did not have a spare for the latter rounds.
Robertson is 6/4 to beat the Englishman but a better bet may be to back Trump on the handicap market where he's available at 6/4 to win -2.5 frames. In the correct score betting he is 10/1 to win 6-2 and 13/2 to win 6-3. It is sure to be a high quality encounter and it is 4/7 for there to be over 6.5 fifty breaks and even money for there to be over 1.5 century breaks.
The second of the semi-finals sees Higgins and Murphy go head-to-head in the evening session following Murphy's impressive 6-2 destruction of world number one Mark Selby in the last round.
Murphy is available at 5/4 to beat the World Champion, Higgins, but the Scottish star is beginning to regain some of his own form and is 8/13 to win this evening.
Sky Bet Odds
John Higgins - 8/13, Shaun Murphy - 5/4 Bet now
A close match is anticipated and you can get 11/4 for the match to go to a deciding frame and even money on there to be over 9.5 frames in the match.
Murphy could also be worth a bet to make the highest break of the match at 11/10 and Sky Bet's head of snooker, Andy Thorp, thinks Murphy is probably the only player capable of beating Trump on current form.
Thorp said: "We are cheering on all, bar Judd Trump, who has surpassed Ronnie O'Sullivan this year as the punters pal and probably will be for years to come.
"Trump would be a disaster but I fear the worst and think Shaun Murphy on top form is the only chance we have of getting him beat."
