Snooker player Stephen Lee has been fined £1815 after he admitted a charge of fraud relating to his snooker cue.
The former world number five had arranged to sell it to a fan in Hong Kong via his Facebook page.
Swindon Crown Court heard that although the fan paid the money into Lee’s wife’s bank account, he did not send the cue.
Lee, of Trowbridge, Wiltshire, had his appeal against a 12-year ban for match-fixing dismissed last month.
He had also appealed against having to pay £40,000 costs, which have now been increased to £75,000.
The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association said Lee’s case is "the worst case of snooker corruption we've seen".
