Fran Halsall in fine form

Training for the biggest year of their lives certainly keeps our Sky Sports Scholars busy and as if that isn't enough, they are also writing blogs for us or getting to grips with their cameras for their video blogs.

As July creeps ever closer the athletes are in demand more and more as they promote themselves, their sport and of course London!

Find out what has been keeping our 11 athletes busy this week...

Like most of us Aaron Cook stayed up on Sunday to watch the Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Like most of us he did not exactly know the rules but enjoyed it anyway! Perhaps Aaron's mentor Rob Wotton can introduce him to Big Kev Cadle for an NFL masterclass?

There was drama for Nicola Sanders this week as she was almost snowed in! Luckily for her it was in a restaurant so at least her nutrition plan would not have gone out the window...

Mark Rohan may be training hard in Portugal but he still had time to give a big shout out to Irish athletes Fran Meehan and Catherine Walsh who became the first ever Irish Paracycling track World Champs!

Our very own Jody Cundy is competing in the aforementioned World Champs in LA. It's a tough weekend for Jody as he is taking part in the 4km pursuit, the Kilo and the team sprint. We wish Jody and all the UK and Irish athletes the best of luck.

Fran Halsall is certainly not looking forward to leaving the Tenerife sunshine for the freezing UK conditions, but a new sponsored car waiting for her return should take off some of the chill. All that training in Tenerife has certainly paid dividends as Olympic bronze medal winner Steve Parry tweeted: Check out GUNS on model (aka swimmer) @franhalsall

Last week we spoke about Euan Burton's rivals being delighted with Euan spending a lot of time watching tennis. Well this week they will be even happier: @Euan_Burton: Just punched myself in the face... Probably not best move for tomorrow but can't help it. Very frustrated.

Katie Taylor has just returned from an intense training camp in Tbilisi, Georgia as she continues her preparation for the Women's World Championships in China in May. Before that she will take part in two historic women's international meetings with Holland in March. We'll keep you up to date with how she gets on!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner Louis Smith has admitted that he does not receive much female fan mail. He has also revealed that he's a romantic at heart and that any girlfriends don't have to be particularly sporty or athletic, he likes a girl who he can spend time with and disconnect from the gym. Start writing ladies!

Thanks to Strength & Conditioning coach Rhys Ingram, Steve Brown was really battling with his Weetabix on Friday morning. @SteveBrownGBWR: Ok,can someone please pass me down a bowl for my breakfast! Thanks to the @RhysIngram session yesterday I can't lift arms above my head. Doms! (Doms - Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness!)

One of the best things about following Liam Tancock on Twitter is finding out about the fantastic food he has - this week was no exception! @LiamTancock: I'm having a tasty dinner tonight. Iberico Bellota cured ham and Mussels! Amazing! :-)

Talking about food, Perri Shakes Drayton has been on the hunt for the mythical Nandos black card - apparently it gives you access to free chicken! With all the protein she needs to compete it sounds like a great deal to us! On another note we have also been spotting a lot of Perris about town - she's only gone and got herself on the back of a bus or two!
