Training is progressing really well. Working on my weaknesses is a fun new challenge and I've been able to do some speed work.
Lorenzo Vite, the therapist here, has been great so far and I haven't had a bad reaction to training. My Achilles is holding up and I feel happy about the rate of progress.
The centre here isn't just a great environment for training but also a great place for your mind. There's a really good energy that has left me feeling optimistic. The positivity here is one of the things that's really struck me about the US in general, which makes for a brilliant place to train.
I've also been getting to grips with a HydroWorx treadmill, which is like a normal treadmill but underwater. It doesn't go that fast but you run against two jets of water that increase the resistance.
It means you can offload the body whilst maintaining the intensity as you have the water to work against with every movement, which is great for recovery and regeneration.
