I am just in Kazakhstan at the moment and have a bit of spare time so thought I would update you with what's been happening the last few weeks.
It has been a busy few weeks since my last blog. Since arriving home from my last tournament in Istanbul I have been training hard for the World Senior Championships in Kazakhstan which starts tomorrow (14 October). This is my first senior World Championship tournament.
Preparation has been great, I had a week's training camp in Cologne, Germany with the team. Here I was sparring with top countries like Brazil, France and the Germans.
I was happy with how I performed in Germany and I am looking forward to getting the tournament under way.
I have been in Kazakhstan for the last five days adjusting to the five hour time difference and finishing off my training.
The hard work is done, I just need to get in there and perform to the best of my ability. On my day I know I am capable of beating anyone out here.
I weighed in this morning and the draw takes place in a few hours, by tonight I will know when and who I am boxing. Either way I'm ready.
Jack received a bye, meaning his first bout will come in the second round on Saturday.
