Peter Hanson: Will be playing in his second Ryder Cup.
Prior to qualification for the 2010 Ryder Cup, few casual golf fans would have even known of the 34-year-old Swede, but since then he has proved himself one of the most quietly impressive players in European golf.
He won twice in 2010 to earn his debut at Celtic Manor, the second win was essential to earn his spot so came under the greatest of pressure.
His debut in Wales was mixed. He won one match and lost another with Miguel Angel Jimenez, and was drummed 4&2 by Phil Mickelson in the singles. But he has continued his rise up the game.
Hanson warmed up for Medinah by adding another win to his CV with victory in the KLM Open in the Netherlands whilst 2012 has also seen him continue his development as a solid major championship performer.
He was tied seventh at last year's US Open, very nearly won this year's Masters before finishing third and was tied seventh in last month's PGA Championship.
Curiously in both of those top finishes this year he hit embarrassing shanks with slightly comical results, but those shots are the exceptions that prove the rule - Hanson is one of the most solid players on the European Tour.
