Bradley Davies will make his 100th appearance for the Cardiff Blues in Friday's RaboDirect PRO12 clash against Ulster.
Davies will be joined in the engine room by James Down as the Blues look to record their fourth win in five rounds.
Andries Pretorius returns to reclaim the captaincy from Davies, while Taufa'ao Filise is also named in the pack.
In the backs, winger Harry Robinson, centre Dafydd Hewitt and fly-half Jason Tovey all start.
Ireland winger Tommy Bowe will make his Ulster debut in the province's first match since the tragic death of Nevin Spence.
Bowe's inclusion sees coach Mark Anscombe shuffle his back division, with Andrew Trimble swapping to the left wing, Michael Allen moving to outside centre and Darren Cave handed the No 12 jersey.
