Championship club Bristol have signed Edinburgh forwards Ross Rennie and Stuart McInally on loan until the end of the season.

They will reinforce the promotion-chasing club's playing resources until the end of this season.

Flanker Rennie has won 20 caps for Scotland and he will link up again with current Bristol rugby director Andy Robinson, the former Edinburgh and Scotland coach.

"I coached Ross at Edinburgh and he's an extremely talented player with a superb work-rate and a drive to achieve," Robinson said.

"Ross has shown repeatedly at the very highest level that he can compete with the best openside flankers in the United Kingdom."

McInally switched from the back-row to hooker last summer and is a former Scotland Under-20 captain who has also represented Scotland A and Scotland Sevens.
