Rotherham Titans have completed the signing of former Bath academy back-rower Joe Ellyatt.

With a number of injury concerns across the squad - including Latu Makaafi, who broke his collarbone - Ellyatt has been brought into strengthen the pack.

Ellyatt came through the academy set-up at Bath, going on to play for them in the Middlesex Sevens, while he also played for his hometown club Jersey.

He initially arrived at the Titans in the summer on trial - and although he just missed out on a contract at the time, he has now been handed a chance.

Titans head coach Andre Bester said: "What Joe needs to do, is when his opportunity arises, he needs to grasp it with both hands and make it impossible for me to leave him out of the squad."
