Leeds Carnegie have named former England Counties boss Dave Baldwin as their new forwards coach.

The vastly experienced coach moves to Headingley from Preston Grashoppers, with Baldwin having led the club to third in National Two North.

Baldwin has also previously had spells in charge at Fylde and Manchester, while he went on to play for Sale and Wakefield after stating his career in Leeds at Bramley.

The 48-year-old told the official Leeds site: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Leeds Carnegie and I would like to thank Chris Gibson and Gary Hetherington for this opportunity.

"It wasn't a difficult decision to move to the club, I am a Leeds lad born and bred and it is a job I have coveted for a while.

"I am looking forward to working with Diccon Edwards and his staff and helping Leeds become a team who can challenge at the top end of the table next season."
