The Exeter Chiefs have secured the future of another key player after Ben White signed a new two-year contract.
Back-row forward White has established himself as a vital member of Rob Baxter's pack at Sandy Lane, scoring 15 tries in 84 appearances since his arrival from the Cardiff Blues in 2011.
White joins Gareth Steenson, Dave Lewis, Ben Moon, Carl Rimmer and Kai Horstmann in agreeing new terms with the Aviva Premiership team.
"It’s good to get everything sorted so quickly,” said White. “It means I can focus on my game, go flat out at things and just crack into every game 100 per cent.
"It was a pretty easy decision to stay. When Rob offered me the deal, I was more than happy to stay.
"The environment here at the Chiefs is fantastic, it’s a great bunch of boys to play alongside, and since I’ve arrived I’ve really improved as a player, so I was pretty happy to stick along those lines and keep improving.
"I think my game has improved a lot. My game understanding and knowing when the big moments are in games, it’s all improved so much.
"As I said, we have a good core group here at the club and we all push each other hard. There is always plenty of competition for places and hopefully that will continue over the next few years as well.”
