The Rebels enter their third season of Super Rugby confident that this can be their breakthrough year.

They finished above both the Lions and the Force to prove that they are coming to terms with life in the competition - while they even registered a win over the Crusaders.

There were plenty of near-misses, too, so the job of Damien Hill and his coaching team will be to instil a greater consistency in their displays.

There is no doubting some of the talent available to Hill, with Kurtley Beale, James O'Conner and Cooper Vuna all match-winners on their days, while Gareth Delve has been outstanding.

Scott Higginbotham is a good addition to the pack, while Jason Woodward looks to be an exciting acquisition.

They could struggle upfront, though, with a lack of depth however the franchise could mount a serious challenge for the top-10.
