Michael Cheika has paid the price for failing to revive the fortunes at Stade Francais -with the Australian relieved of his duties.
Having enjoyed five successful seasons at Leinster, Cheika took over the reins at Stade in 2010 with the aim of rebuilding the club.
However the Parisians failed to make the Top 14 play-off during his tenure despite having been given a substantial budget.
Cheika has now been informed by president Thomas Savare that he will not be offered a new contact at Stade.
Cheika departure from Paris, though, could open up the door for him to return to Australia - with Western Force looking for a replacement for Richard Graham.
