Alex Cuthbert: Scored the Lions' first try against the Combined Country XV
Alex Cuthbert feels the British and Irish Lions could have been more ruthless in their win over the Combined Country XV, but believes they are still improving.
Warren Gatland's side ran in 10 tries to win 64-0 and maintain their unbeaten Australian tour record.
Alex Cuthbert feels the British and Irish Lions should have been more ruthless in their win over the Combined Country Fifteen.
Cuthbert, who notched the first try in the rout, believes the Lions can improve further.
He told Sky Sports: "It was good to get the win but I think if we're being harsh on ourselves I think, we spoke in the changing room, that second half we weren't quite as ruthless as we could have been and we could maybe have scored a few more.
"I think the result, 64-0 and not conceding a try is good but we sort of took our foot off the gas maybe that second half a little bit and there were a few, I think three or four more tries, that went begging.
"So we'll just look at that and I think we've got things to work on which is good.
"We're still improving as a team and we're just looking forward to the weeks coming."
