Australia star Berrick Barnes looks set to miss out on the series against the British and Irish Lions this summer after fracturing his wrist playing for the Waratahs.
The Wallabies have already lost their star flanker David Pocock who ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament playing for the Brumbies last week.
And Barnes, who has played at fly-half, centre and full-back for Australia, looks likely to join him on the sidelines.
Barnes tackled giant Cheetahs lock Lodewyk De Jager midway through the first half on Friday and rolled away in agony, clutching his right wrist.
The 26-year-old, who made his 50th Test appearance against Wales in December, has only just returned to action from a knee problem.
