Worcester Warriors have completed the signing of flanker Sam Lewis from Ospreys.

Lewis has been a regular member of the Ospreys side over the last three years in both the Guinness PRO12 and European Champions Cup.

The 24-year-old has made a total of 65 appearances for the Welsh region after signing his first professional contract for Ospreys in 2012.

He said: "The opportunity to join Warriors at such an exciting time was one that really appealed to me.

"With all the facilities in place and Dean's vision for the future, I see Sixways as the ideal place for me to develop my game and I'm looking forward to being a part of the journey.”

Worcester director of rugby Dean Ryan said: "Sam is a player who has experienced the highest level of club rugby from a young age and is now hungry to continue his development within a successful environment.

"We are creating a competitive culture throughout our whole squad and, by integrating players of Sam's calibre, that will only intensify as time goes on.”
