Ospreys have called in recent signings Campbell Johnstone and Dimitri Arhip for Saturday's Heineken Cup trip to Toulouse.
The Welsh province were experiencing problems in the front row with Aaron Jarvis and Joe Rees ruled out by long-term injuries.
As a result, the pair have been deregistered for Europe's elite club competition ahead of the clash with the Pool Two table-toppers.
That has provided chances for Johnstone and Arhip, who have been added to the 38-man squad in their stead, and they will now push to start the game in southern France.
Johnstone, 32, is a former New Zealand international and has joined from Super Rugby giants Crusaders having previously played in the Heineken Cup for Biarritz.
Arhip, meanwhile, is a rising star from Moldova who can play in any three of the front row positions - tight-head, hooker or looesehead.
