Wales captain Sam Warburton should be fit to take on Toulon this weekend despite dislocating his finger against Sale.

Warburton had the middle finger on his left hand put back into place at hospital after suffering the injury five minutes into the 34-33 loss at the City of Salford Stadium on Sunday.

Doctors had tried to fix the damage on the pitch, but given the extent of the injury Warburton was then transferred to hospital, sparking fears he might miss Wales' autumn international programme.

Warburton published pictures of the x-rays on his Twitter account and wrote: "Finger is finally sorted, won't be signing autographs for a while."

But the Blues have confirmed on their official website that Warburton - favourite to be appointed Lions captain for the tour of Australia next year -should be fit to take on Toulon this weekend.
