Rob Kearney: Played just 32 minutes this season
Full-back Rob Kearney insists he will be fit for Ireland's autumn internationals.
The 26-year-old has played just 32 minutes of rugby this season after suffering a back injury against Connacht ahead of Ireland's squad announcement on Wednesday.
But he will have a fitness test on Thursday to see if he can play for Leinster against the Cardiff Blues at the weekend.
A return against the Ospreys a week later remains the more likely scenario for Kearney, who remains confident he will be ready to face South Africa in Ireland's first autumn international on November 10.
"In an ideal world, you would like to get a couple of games under your belt, but I'm not going to be too fazed by it," he told the Irish Independent.
"I came back into an international before the World Cup after being out for nine months and it went okay, so it is something I have done before.
"While ideally I'd be able to get a few games under my belt, if that's not the case then we don't live in a perfect world."
