Scrum-half Michael Heaney has agreed to remain at Ulster until the end of the season.
Heaney had come through the academy set-up at Ravenhill before moving to RFU Championship Doncaster.
However the 21-year-old initially returned to Ulster on a four-month deal in the summer.
That contract has now been extended with Heaney, a former Ireland Under-20s international, having impressed the coaches during his second stint.
Heaney said: "I am delighted to be extending my contract with Ulster.
"It was a great opportunity to have been given the initial four-month contract and I am pleased that I will be able to stay and to continue to represent my province."
