Saturday's RaboDirect PRO12 between Benetton Treviso and Connacht has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The match was minutes from kicking off, but a week of heavy rain in Italy finally took its toll.

There has been no announcement on when the match will be played, although it is expected to be rescheduled for a weekend when the PRO12 is on a break due of European action.

"The RaboDirect PRO12 Round 19 game between Benetton Treviso and Connacht, due to be played at Stadio Monigo tonight, has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch," read a statement on Connacht's official website.

"Details of the re-arrangement will be announced when known."
