New Edinburgh caretaker coach Stevie Scott has told his players he expects to see them putting a shift in.

Scott returned from his coaching commitments assisting caretaker Scotland boss Scott Johnson on Monday following the Dark Blues' 23-16 defeat in Paris and was straight to work at a club he represented on almost 100 occasions as a player. He added: "I'm delighted to be back with Edinburgh Rugby. This club gave me my first opportunity to play professional rugby and my best memories as a rugby player in a strong side. "It means a lot to get this opportunity. I'm Scottish and very passionate about this club, having played just short of 100 games. The club is close to my heart and this will allow me to give something back."
