Viliami Ma'afu: Can the Warriors find a suitable replacement?
Viliami Ma'afu is to leave Glasgow Warriors with immediate effect due to family and personal reasons.
The No.8, who turned 30 earlier this month, joined the Scottish team in the summer from Japanese side Mitsubishi and makes clear that his reasons for leaving the club are purely personal.
Ma'afu was selected for his Super Rugby debut with the Blues after a couple of superb seasons with North Harbour.
He was awarded the 2009 North Harbour Player of the Year and is a triple international, having played for the national Sevens team as well as representing Tonga in tennis and golf.
The Warriors, who are now working hard to secure a suitable replacement in the back-row, thank the player for his excellent professionalism and wish him and his family every success in the future.
