The Dragons have announced that back-row Lewis Evans and hooker Hugh Gustafson have agreed deals to see them both at the club until the summer of 2015.

Evans is a product of the Dragons academy after representing various age groups and also playing for Ebbw Vale and Newport in the Welsh Premiership.

Since joining the Dragons, Evans has impressed and has gained international recognition with the Wales Sevens team.

Gustafson, a former Wales Under-20s captain, joined from the Dragons for the 2007-08 season.

In his first season Gustafson made quite an impression during his 21 appearances for the region. Last season saw the former loosehead prop convert to hooker.

Director of rugby Robert Beale told the club's official website: "We are delighted to announce that Lewis Evans and Hugh Gustafson, two players committed to the Dragons Region have extended their current contacts with us.

"I'm sure both players will play a big part in the Dragons future going forward."
