Dan Carter could return to the New Zealand side for next week's third and final Test against France in New Plymouth.

The Kiwi fly-half missed the opening two matches in Auckland and Christchurch due to a fractured bone in a hand.

But coach Steve Hansen says he is available to make his international comeback.

The All Blacks' boss said: "Everyone should be available for selection, including DC (Dan Carter), so that's good news.

"But clearly there's a few guys that are sore. Reado (Kieran Read) being one, and Sam Whitelock has got a sore elbow just to name a couple. Everyone is expected to be available."

However lock Brodie Retallick is not expected to play after missing the second Test with a pulled hamstring suffered during training on Thursday.

The 22-year-old is likely to be sidelined for three weeks and with New Zealand leading the series two-nil, Hansen could make changes.

He added: "Obviously the series has been won, we've talked about taking risks, so perhaps we may have an opportunity to make some changes,"

Charles Piutau, Francis Saili and Steven Luatua are three players who could be called into the squad.

French coach Philippe Saint-Andre has lost two key players ahead of the final Test after Louis Picamoles and Frederic Michalak sustained injuries in the second match on Saturday.

Picamoles was stretchered off with a bruised hip and required hospital treatment, while Michalak injured the shoulder he dislocated earlier in the year.
