Saracens trio Chris Ashton, Schalk Brits and Jacques Burger have been shortlisted for the 2014 European player of the year.
The Londoners surged into the final of the Heineken Cup with an emphatic 46-6 drubbing of French giants Clermont-Auvergne at the weekend, and have been rewarded for their endeavours with three of the five nominations.
Their opponents at the Millennium Stadium on May 24 will be Toulon, and their two star Englishman - fly-half Jonny Wilkinson and flanker Steffon Armitage - complete the list.
Wing Ashton pressed his claims for an England recall by taking his European try-tally for the season to 11 with two in Sarries' semi-final - and he was ably supported by the forward efforts of tough-tackling flanker Burger and dynamic hooker Brits.
2013 winner Wilkinson presents an obvious threat as does Armitage, who many feel should be made an exception to England's rule of refusing to pick players who ply their trade abroad.
The winner will be announced following the final in Cardiff.
