Bristol flanker Redford Pennycook looks set to be the next player to leave the Championship outfit, with Newcastle Falcons leading the race for his signature.
Bristol have already seen a number of players opt to leave following their failure to win promotion back to the Guinness Premiership at the first attempt - with their play-off defeat to Exeter having serious financial implications.
The fall-out from that defeat saw Bristol inform the squad they would have to take a pay cut out or look for new clubs.
And former England Under-18s international Pennycook now looks set to follow Luke Eves, Alex Crockett, Lee Robinson, coach John Brian, Luke Arscott and James Phillips out of the Memorial Stadium.
The tough-tackling Pennycook made 29 appearances for Bristol last season, scoring six tries, while he has played 58 times overall for the club.
Newcastle, who have already signed Eves, are currently favourites to snap up the 24-year-old after coach Alan Tait missed out on Michael Lipman.
