Australia winger Digby Ioane is a doubt for the first Test against the British and Irish Lions after undergoing a knee operation.
The 27-year-old was injured during the Queensland Reds' Super Rugby defeat to the Cheetahs last weekend and now faces a race against time to make the Lions series opener in Brisbane on June 22.
Ioane, who has scored 11 tries in 34 Tests, would be an almost certain starter for the Wallabies if he is available.
A tweet from the Wallabies read: "@digbyioane underwent operation this morning on the articular cartilage in his left knee."
Ioane, himself, later tweeted: "Just letting you guys know. The surgery went really well, should be back for the test, bring on the #lions god bless my Twitter friends."
Ioane is the most experienced of the three wingers named in Australia coach Robbie Deans' preliminary 25-man squad.
Nick Cummins and Joe Tomane are the other options on the flanks, while Adam Ashley-Cooper, James O'Connor and Israel Folau could also operate as a winger.
Deans will add six more players to his squad on June 11.
