Ewen McKenzie: Has signed Sam Lane on a short-term deal
Australian national academy back Sam Lane has teamed up with the injury-ravaged Reds in Perth.
Lane, whose dad Tim played for the Reds and Australia, is now in line to play against the Western Force after agreeing a short-term deal.
The 21-year-old, who was schooled in South Africa and played for Western Province, has been brought in after Jono Lance joined the likes of Mike Harris, Ben Lucas, Quade Cooper and UJ Seuteni on the sidelines.
Lance broke his leg in the heavy defeat to the Bulls last team out and is facing at three months out of action.
