The Waratahs have added second row Ollie Atkins to their squad for the 2013 Super Rugby season.
The 24-year-old has been handed his chance after helping Southern Districts to the Shute Shield Grand Final.
Atkins has previously made two Super Rugby appearances last season as a late call up for the Western Force - playing against the Blues and the Crusaders.
Waratahs assistant coach Scott Bowen told the club's official site: "His standout feature is his work rate and the impact he has around the ground.
"He's a solid ball carrier, he hits a lot of breakdowns, makes his tackles and is effective with the scrum and lineout."
Atkins is the penultimate addition to the club's squad, with the final signing set to be announced in the coming weeks.
