Super Rugby: New Zealand fly-half Beauden Barrett opts to remain with the Hurricanes

The Hurricanes have successfully fended off interest in Beauden Barrett after the New Zealand fly-half signed a new two-year deal.
The 23-year-old had been strongly linked to a move away from the Wellington-based franchise, with New Zealand Conference rivals the Blues leading the chase.
However Barrett has opted to remain loyal to the Hurricanes, having 594 points for the side in 52 appearances since his debut in 2011.
And Barrett, whose side can still reach the Super Rugby playoffs if results go their way, is looking forward to a bright future at the Hurricanes.
"We have a relatively young team here, and I really enjoy the role I play within the squad - it's been great for my overall rugby development,” he said.
"While some of our results this year have been a bit up and down, I feel as a team we have improved in what has been a really tight competition, and hopefully we have some luck this weekend so we are still in with a chance of making the playoffs."
