Wellington Hurricanes captain Rodney So'oialo and lock Paul Tito have both received one-week bans for stamping.
The pair appeared before a SANZAR judicial committee after an incident during Wellington's 29-16 win over the Cats.
The committee decided both players were reckless, but the reduced suspensions reflected that fact the incident was not considered serious.
Nobody was injured during the incident, and the players expressed their remorse.
The ban means the duo will miss Wellington's match against the Central Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on March 4.
