Aaron Cruden (left): Out for six to eight weeks
New Zealand star Aaron Cruden is a doubt for the summer series with England after breaking his thumb.
The fly-half suffered the injury during the Chiefs' extraordinary 43-43 Super 15 draw with the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Saturday and he has been ruled out for between six to eight weeks.
He will almost certainly miss the first Test with England on 7 June, and may miss the second and third Tests too.
With Dan Carter also missing the series as he completes his sabbatical, Wellington's Beauden Barrett appears to be favourite to line up at fly-half for the All Blacks.
The news is a major blow to the Chiefs' bid for a third straight Super Rugby title - Cruden has been in outstanding form. Gareth Anscombe is likely to deputise for him whilst he is on the sidelines.
