Springbok full-back Willie Le Roux has signed a new two-year deal with Super Rugby's Cheetahs.

The 23-year-old has shunned reported interest from Japanese and French clubs to commit his immediate future to the Cheetahs.

"Willie has extended his contract as the Cheetahs for a further two years," head coach Naka Drotské told South African publication Volskblad.

"He is an important player for us on attack and it's great news that he decided to sign with us."

Le Roux has scored six tries during the Super Rugby season and was recently rewarded for form with his Springbok debut.
