Hencus van Wyk is poised to make his Super Rugby debut for the Bulls after being named in the 26-man touring squad to face the Blues, Crusaders, Reds and Brumbies.
Van Wyk, who previously played for the Bulls Under-21s side, can cover both sides of the scrum and makes the step up after impressing for UP-Tuks in the Varsity Cup.
Bjorn Basson has also been named in the squad - although the winger's departure has been delayed by a week as he recovers from an ankle injury.
The Bulls will kick-off their tour against the Blues on March 10, before facing the Crusaders on March 16th, is slightly better.
Frans Ludeke's side will then move to Australia to face the Reds on March 23 before tackling the Brumbies seven days later.
Ludeke told the side's official site: "We will have to pick up points on tour if we want to be around at the business end of the competition. It is true that we have poor records at those venues, but this side has shown in the past that they can set new standards and break down barriers."
