Uncapped Bath prop Nathan Catt has been called into England's squad for the tour of New Zealand next month.
Catt has been added to Stuart Lancaster's travelling party amid injury concerns over Mako Vunipola and Joe Marler.
Vunipola has a knee problem and is being assessed ahead of Saracens' appearance in Saturday's Aviva Premiership final against Northampton while Marler is struggling with a slight hip strain.
The 26-year-old was due to play for an England XV against the Barbarians at Twickenham on Sunday but his place in that squad has been taken by Leicester prop Fraser Balmain.
Lancaster said: "In light of Mako Vunipola's ongoing treatment for a knee injury ahead of the Aviva Premiership final and Joe Marler suffering a slight hip strain we have decided to take Nathan out with us now to ensure that he is up to speed with our systems and structures in the lead up to next week."
Catt was a regular member of England sides at junior level and has impressed for the Saxons as well, but this will be his first taste of senior international rugby.
