Bath have confirmed that Ross Batty and Chris Cook have both agreed new contracts at the Rec.

Hooker Batty, who has made 27 appearances for Bath since joining from Rotherham in 2010, has signed a three-year deal.

England Under-20s scrum-half Cook, a product of the club's academy set-up has been handed a two-year deal after impressing since breaking into the first team.

Bath director of rugby Sir Ian McGeechan said: "They are both talented players, who have developed well over the past two years and have a lot to offer.

"I see them both as a very important part of the continued development of the first team squad.

"Ross is a very athletic, mobile forward, which is important to our style of play, and Chris has all the skills necessary for a top class scrum-half.

"They are both great members of the squad on and off field, so we are really pleased that they have committed themselves to Bath Rugby."
