Another of Bath's promising young talents - Ryan Davis - has signed a new contract with the club.
The England Under 21 captain put pen to paper on an extension that keeps him at the club until the end of the 2007/08 season.
Davis has recently made a breakthrough onto the first team scene, and he was a prominent part of Bath's recent derby win at home to Gloucester.
The versatile back is expected to have a big future in the game, and Davis admits that he did not hesitate in signing a new deal.
"It really was an easy decision for me to commit myself to the club," Ryan told the official club website.
"Bath are a great club to play for, my friends are here and there is a great atmosphere. I also feel that I am at the best place for my future development."
Soon-to-depart head coach John Connolly expressed his delight at the contract negotiation, after overseeing the development of several Bath youngsters over recent seasons, including Tom Cheeseman and Nick Abendanon.
"Ryan is a young player with a lot of potential," said Connolly.
"He is one of four or five young players that we have at the club who have considerable talent."
