Leicester boss Richard Cockerill was delighted with his team's 27-15 Premiership victory over Wasps but remained cautious when it came to talking about being close to securing a play-off spot.

The Tigers ran-in four tries to collect a bonus point and put pressure on second-placed Northampton, who are just two points ahead of Leicester - Saints face leaders Saracens on Sunday.

Director of rugby Cockerill said: "Job done, we will take maximum points which is pleasing but it was a bit of a non-event.

"We were okay, they were okay but it wasn't very fluid. Quins next week is a big game.

"We have got a nine-point cushion on them but we have still not qualified for the semi-finals, we are not home and dry.

"We have put a bit of pressure on Northampton but they are still in the box seat for a home semi-final. We have to keep winning and see what comes."

Wasps coach Dai Young added: "We are disappointed we did not get a losing bonus point.

"We were right in the game until the end. I thought we frustrated Leicester for large parts of the game but we let it slip away from us."
