Leicester forward Ed Slater has been named the Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for March.
The Tigers' second row, who has been in excellent form throughout March, has also lifted the Goldsmiths Player of the Month Award.
A delighted Slater said: "I am extremely surprised to be the Aviva Premiership Player of the Month but I am also delighted. It is a real honour.
"It's been a really good month with getting the Goldsmiths Player of the Month at Leicester as well.
"The team has been playing well as a group, which is massive for everyone.
"Having a run of games in the side was massive for me. My confidence was good and the team has been playing well."
Aviva Ambassador Will Greenwood said: "Ed Slater does what he says on the tin. A big, big lump in the engine room. Smashes things, gets up, smashes other things.
"I love having a big bruising unit that backs like to avoid. Them and us! In the world of the all singing all dancing forwards he has the frills having done some time in the back row. So he can run, tackle, and pass.
"In my second row I want lumps who bend over and push in the scrum but who can also shift move and jump in the lineout.
"I had Ed as an outside bet for an uncapped Lion. Perhaps a little far-fetched but think he is the real McCoy."
