Wasps boss Dai Young has signed Jersey back-row Guy Thompson after being impressed with his outstanding displays in the Championship.
Thompson, 26, joined the-then National One side from Richmond in the summer of 2011 and helped them to promotion in his debut season, winning the Players' Player of the Season in the process.
And Thompson, a product of the Gloucester Academy, has been the club's top try scorer for the past two seasons and was on this season's Championship player of the season shortlist.
He told the Wasps website: "When I left Gloucester I went working for a year and realised that wasn't for me and I went back to rugby and had to work my way back up again.
"I could never have dreamed that I would be signing for a Premiership club and I am thrilled with this opportunity. Jersey have been fantastic for me over the past two years and I want to say a massive thank you to them for helping my game and for backing me.
"The club has a fantastic group of loyal fans who played a massive role in helping Jersey to stay in the Championship this season.
"I am really excited about Wasps and working with some fantastic players and coaches. It's a squad with some incredibly talented young players and it's great to see that the coaches are not afraid to give guys without huge experience a chance to show what they can do. I can't wait to get started."
London Wasps director of rugby Dai Young said: "Guy has made a lot of people sit up and take notice with his performances in the Championship this season.
"He is an explosive runner who will scare defences with his pace and power. His ability to play across the back row will be very valuable and we are all looking forward to seeing what he can do at this level."
