London Irish forward Chris Hala'ufia has been handed a four-week suspension for a dangerous tackle against Sale last week.
The back-rower was cited for his challenge on David Seymour during the Aviva Premiership clash at the AJ Bell Stadium on Friday.
The former Tonga international was called to appear before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing, where he was found guilty of a tip tackle on the Sharks flanker.
Hala'ufia, 35, is now banned until January 19, meaning he will sit out four matches in all competitions.
He is banned for the league fixtures against Gloucester and Worcester, as well as the Amlin Challenge Cup clashes against Lusitanos XV and I Cavalieri Prato.
