London Irish will share the captaincy between forwards Declan Danaher and George Skivington as they continue preparations for the new season.
Skivington has been appointed first team captain and will lead the Exiles in their 27th campaign in the top flight while Danaher retains the club captaincy for a second season, representing London Irish at official functions.
Having joined the club from Leicester Tigers at the start of last season, Skivington made an immediate impact with three tries in 23 appearances.
The former England Saxons captain led the Exiles in Danaher's absence through injury and was named Player of the Season at the club's annual awards ceremony.
Both players will play a key role in London Irish's Wider Leadership Group which currently includes Ian Humphreys, Tomas O'Leary, Topsy Ojo and David Paice amongst others.
"We've used this system before at the club to good effect, it takes the pressure off one player and shares the responsibilities," the club's director of rugby Brian Smith said.
"In Declan and George we have two outstanding leaders whose qualities and experience lend themselves to the roles we've allocated to them.
"I'm looking forward to working with the entire leadership gGroup as we go about the business of ensuring a successful season for this great club."
