London Irish have boosted their front-row options with the loan signings of Michael Mayhew and Davy McGregor.
Mayhew, the 26-year-old New Zealander, makes the short-term switch to the Exiles from RFU Championship leaders Newcastle Falcons.
Mayhew made nine Premiership appearances for the Falcons last season, however the hooker has seen Rob Vickers make the No 2 jersey his own this season.
Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said: "It is a great opportunity for Michael to get some game time under his belt and it will give him valuable experience."
Mayhew will be joined at the Exiles by former Ulster, Rotherham and Plymouth hooker McGregor.
The 22-year-old, who has been capped by Ireland at Under-20s level, arrives on loan from National One side Coventry.
