London Irish number eight Chris Hala'ufia has won his appeal against a five-week ban for a tip tackle.
The 34-year-old was shown a red card by referee JP Doyle for a dangerous tip tackle during last weekend's Aviva Premiership defeat to London Welsh.
The Tongan was subsequently banned for five weeks by a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel on Tuesday.
However that ruling has now been overturned by Gareth Rees QC, who sat as a single disciplinary officer at the player's appeal hearing after Hala'ufia appealed the sanction and guilty verdict of the original committee.
The London Irish forward, who received the full backing of the club's director of rugby Brian Smith following the incident, is therefore free to play again immediately.
